I have a bachelor's degree in both English and journalism and a master's degree in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. I am a Michigan-certified professional English and journalism educator and have taught a wide variety of English courses, including Advanced Placement, honors, and general education at the high school-level. As a classroom teacher, I saw (firsthand) the need for one-on-one tutoring. No matter how great the teacher, individualized instruction is, unfortunately, near impossible in schools today due to large class sizes and increasing demands on educators. In addition to teaching, I have a contagious passion for writing and editing. I am currently the editorial coordinator for both Birmingham Life and West Bloomfield Lifestyle magazines. I also regularly contribute to a variety of local publications, including Visit Detroit, The Chaldean News, and more. My experience working with students and adults in metro Detroit has truly been eye-opening and rewarding these past four years, and I can't wait to continue this impactful work in the future.
